Defining moments
Galatians 6:12-13
Have you thought about your defining moments? The day you were baptized, the day you were married, the day... Well Paul is helping folks wrestle with their defining moments in faith. As gentiles the folks aren’t circumcised so the Jewish Christians are saying to be circumcised is a defining moment for the gentiles but Paul says think again. It’s a flesh thing not a spiritual thing. He also says if you subscribe to the law you have to obey it all and no one is doing this...so he says step out in faith. This gives us the opportunity to obey the next little thing God tells us to do.
