Free to love

Galatians 5:13-14 It’s not that we are free to do whatever we like. No, its that we’re free to love each other deeply...and when we do this we fulfill the law.

Circumcision

Galatians 5:11-12 Circumcision is not required when you have faith in Christ,

Yeast!

Galatians 5:7-10 Have you ever seen yeast work? It only takes a little to change the whole batch of dough. The same can be true in the body of Christ. Have you checked in with the truth of Christ recently? Are you set on the truth or has some “yeast” got in and misguided you?

What counts is faith expressing itself through love

Galatians 5:6 Whether you been brought up in the church, or are outside of the church it doesn't matter.  What matters is faith expressing itself through love

Where is the grace of Christ?

Galatians 5:4-5 If we count on obeying the law to save us we miss out on the grace of Christ.

Circumcision is not required!

Galatians 5:2-3 With Christ the law is banished; and if you follow the law you must fall it all.

Christ is about freedom

Galatians 4:31-5:1 If we follow Christ we should be free.  How is it for you?  Do you sense you are free to do the next little thing God tells you to do?

The child and the step child

Galatians 4:29-30 These verses are hard for me to digest because I want everyone to get along in perfect harmony. The truth of the matter is two world religions have been birthed from a child and a step child. Lord Jesus thank You for coming as a child and modeling life for us as a man so we can share Your love with our spiritual stepbrothers and sisters as well as our own brothers and sisters.

Childless women

Galatians 4:27-28 In a culture where having no children was frowned upon today's reading is a breathe of fresh air. I’m personally thankful for all the childless women who have taken me under their wings.

Hagar and Sarah

Galatians 4:22-26 This is an interesting passage as it talks about Hagar and Sarah.  Have you ever thought of the significance of these two women in the role of religion in this world?

Spiritual labour pains

Galatians 4:19-21 Have you ever had spiritual labour pains because someone is about to be born of God? If so you’re not alone. Paul did too...or maybe you had them but didn’t recognize what they were. No matter, don’t give up on producing spiritual babies because this is how the Kingdom grows. Blessings to you.

Zealous for Christ?

Galatians 4:17-19 Who are you following and are they zealous for Christ or do they want you attached to rules that enslave? Don’t get me wrong...being zealous for Christ does lead to a higher standard of living but instead of a list of rules Christ accepts us where we are and works with us to bring us to the higher standard of living in His way and time.

Unwanted words?

Galatians 4:15-16 What do we do when we hear something we don’t want to hear even if it’s the truth?

A sickness turned to ministry

Galatians 4:12-14 A sickness turned to ministry; God loves turning lemons into lemonade,

Is it Christ or Christmas that’s more important to you?

Galatians 4:10-11 Where does Christ stand in our priorities? Are we celebrating for the sake of celebrating or are we celebrating Jesus?

Don’t turn back

Galatians 4:8-9 Don’t turn back from God’s leading to being entrapped by the law. Stay free to listen to the next little thing God tells you to do.

Heirs to God!!!This is good news!

Galatians 4:7 Not only are we no longer slaves to the law we are also heirs to God!!!! It is good news.

Daddy

Galatians 4:6 We have a relationship with God where we can call Him Daddy.

Adopted children of God

Galatians 4:3-5 We’re adopted children of God. The question now is what spiritual age are we and how does that affect our behavior?
